Adult Study

Year of the BibleThe Adult Study groups takes place on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m., during the months of September through March.  We cover many topics, generally through a 6 – 8 weeks series.

Wednesday Evening Bible Study will begin January 29.  We are blessed to have Marlene Bogard, Western District Librarian and inspiration for Year of the Bible leading us for five sessions.  All sessions are 7:00 to 7:55 p.m. in Fellowship Hall.  Come and learn what Year of the Bible is all about!


Jan. 29 - What is a Year of the Bible?  Marlene will provide an introduction to what it is and is not.  She will introduce us to a Bible Bingo card, which will in turn help us determine how we might want to engage God’s word in our daily lives.  Spoiler Alert:  This might be fun!

Feb. 5 -   Bible Reflections by….you!  Marlene will provide a framework for us to reflect on Bible passages that have been meaningful to us at different stages of our lives.  Yes, you will need to come prepared to share and listen.

Feb. 12 - Two ways of studying the Bible. Using a variety of resources available at the WDC Library, Marlene will lead us in some sample studies.

Feb. 19 - But wait, there is more!  Using a variety of resources available at the WDC Library, Marlene will lead us in two more sample Bible studies

Feb. 26 -Together, we will explore the spiritual practice of  Praying in Color.  We will listen to music, the scriptures, and together doodle and play as a way of praying.   Spoiler Alert:  this is very relaxing.  Marlene says all ages and all personalities have appreciated this experience.
