CARING MINISTRIES

• Hospital and Home Visitation
  Persons with physical, emotional or spiritual needs are visited by pastors or members. The Pastoral Care Coordinator is Linda Stauffer.
  
  
  
• Crisis Counseling
  A call for help to the church office or to one of the pastors will bring quick assistance in guiding you to the next step in meeting your problem.
  
  
  
• Deacon Care Groups
  The congregation is divided among the eight deacons. They help with the spiritual and emotional needs of the persons in their group. You should know your deacon's name for easy contact.
  
  
  
• Small Groups
  Members are encouraged to join 8-16 member groups that meet once a month. Activities include eating and fellowship, study and prayer. Small groups are a good way to learn to know a group of persons well and learn the meaning of "belonging."
  
  
  
• Health-Wellness Ministry
  The use of health screening and education help address the real-life issues of members. The "Congregational Nurse" concept helps the church demonstrate the whole person view Jesus demonstrated. Congregational nurse: Rosie Goering
  
  
  
• Medical Ethics Support
  A group of persons with the backgrounds of medicine, nursing, law and ministry are ready to meet with members with difficult medical decisions. The group acts as a resource and a sounding board, leaving the actual decisions for the person.
  
  
  
• Abuse Support Group
  A church-supported group from the church and community meets once a month to discuss and encourage persons with wounds from abuse.
