FAITH MISSION CIRCLE

Quilt Faith Mission Circle is an organization for women of the church and usually meets on the first Monday evening of each month, September through May. The group’s purpose is to encourage each other in personal spiritual growth through Bible study, prayer and Christian fellowship. Most of the meetings are in Fellowship Hall, while others are at the Et Cetera Shop, MCC resource center in North Newton, or other local organization’s locations. Each meeting involves a devotional time, using resources from Mennonite Women USA.

Faith Mission Circle also supports missions through offerings and material gifts. Projects often include: MCC school and health kits; soup labels for Hopi Mission School; items for local organizations, such as Health Ministries, Safe House, and food banks; and quilts, crafts and food for the Kansas MCC Relief Sale. The women also do visitation of the elderly in the congregation, and serve meals at funerals and wedding receptions.

Another aspect of Faith Mission Circle’s meetings is special speakers to educate the women about service opportunities in our community and elsewhere.

Of course, some fun times are also planned: the annual Christmas banquet in December for the whole church and the Mother-Daughter-Sister-Friend salad supper or Saturday brunch in May.

All women of our church family are welcome to attend and participate in all activities.
